Dragon Out of Water
Organic Phoenix Dragon Pearls Jasmine Green Tea

$ 7.00

It tastes:

like spring picked green tea lightly scented with fresh jasmine petals.

It’s good for:

relaxing body and mind, detoxifying, regulating blood sugar, boosting metabolism and promoting healthy teeth, skin, and bones. **

It's doing good for:

one of 5 cause areas of your choice.

It’s pretty awesome because:

this is a very high grade green tea from China's Fujian region that is expertly hand shaped into pearls. Jasmine is known to brighten your mood, green tea is high in polyphenols, the tea bushes on the hillside actually look like a dragon coming out of the water and there’s some built in entertainment: watching the tea unfurl from hand-rolled pearls to reveal a whole leaf and a bud. (You can insert character reveal metaphor here.)

It goes well with:

Curry, reading Aristotle

Organic Passion Fruit Green Tea

$ 3.50

It tastes:

like the sweet tropical flavor of passionfruit added to the lively, sweet, and lush flavors of green tea.

It’s good for:

weight loss, diabetes prevention, reducing bad cholesterol, helping to alleviate depression, helping decrease wrinkles and the signs of aging. It is also anti-viral and anti-bacterial.**

It's doing good for:

one of 5 cause areas of your choice.

It’s pretty awesome because:

even though passionfruit was technically named for suffering, we're going to go with the other definition: a strong and barely controllable emotion. The word evokes a feeling that makes you want to go out and experience life. It’s what you love; it’s what fuels you; it’s what completes you. And you could probably use a little energy boost for all of that passion.

Organic Pai Mu Tan White Tea

$ 3.50

It tastes:

like a flowery meets light peach-y flavor and has barely any color when steeped. This exclusive white tea is pure perfection and requires zero sweetener or anything else for that matter. Don’t do it.

It’s good for:

getting some EGCG, a potent catechin that neutralizes the harmful free radicals in the cells, restoring fluid balance, stimulating the brain, strengthening antibacterial activity, accelerating metabolism, helping lower your sugar intake and relaxing.**

It's doing good for:

one of 5 cause areas of your choice.

It’s pretty awesome because:

for just 2 weeks of the year with forty-eight hours or less between the time the first buds become fully mature and the time they open, this tea is plucked at the crack of dawn and left in the sun to wither naturally. It is the rarest and most delicate form of tea, the least processed, contains the least amount of caffeine and has the most health benefits. It is special and unique and shines a spotlight on discovery and trusting time.

It tastes:

malty and kind of lemon-y; delicious with your milk of choice. (Our version of English Breakfast tea combines three organic, Fair Trade Certified™ brilliant black teas: Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, Nilgiri from India, and Keemun from China.)

It’s good for:

managing and preventing diabetes, protecting your heart, bringing you potent antioxidants, weight loss, reversing the visible effects of aging (like wrinkles and reduced skin elasticity), beating stress, keeping bones dense and strong, helping you (and your sore muscles) recover more quickly after a workout and protecting against dental plaque, cavities, and tooth decay.**

It's doing good for:

one of 5 cause areas of your choice.

It’s pretty awesome because:

It's doing good for:

It’s pretty awesome because:

one tale of Earl Grey tells how a British diplomat on a mission to China saved the life of a Mandarin man and as a gift of gratitude was given the recipe for this flavored tea. This diplomat then returned to Britain and presented the tea to the Prime Minister of the day, Earl Grey. Another tale says it was the Prime Minister himself who saved the Mandarin man and the tea was named for him. Either way someone did some life saving and that’s awesome.

Zen Matcha
Organic Matcha Green Tea

$ 29.50

It tastes:

fresh and vegetal. Organic Matcha is a fine ground, beautiful hued green tea powder that can not be compared to any other tea. It looks and tastes completely original.

It’s good for:

antioxidants, enhancing calm, boosting memory and concentration, increasing energy levels and endurance, burning calories, detoxifying the body, clearing the skin, fortifying the immune system and improving cholesterol levels.**

It's doing good for:

one of 5 cause areas of your choice.

It’s pretty awesome because:

this way of processing and preparing tea was originally created, and eventually abandoned, in China. Traveling Zen monks from Japan saw this way of turning tea into powder, brought tea and tea seeds back with them to Japan and began their own tradition of creating powdered green tea – and Matcha was born. Today, Zen monasteries in Japan use Matcha to keep them awake and alert during long periods of meditation. You can use it to get through work with a smile.

It goes well with:

dark chocolate, focusing up

It comes from:

Japan

What’s in it?

organic Matcha green tea powder

Caffeine:

medium

This how to do it:

Check out our How to Steep Guide.

This is how to do it:

1. Use between 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of matcha powder per cup.  (It's totally up to personal preference on how strong you like your matcha. Experiment away!)

2. Add 2 oz (ish) of just below boiling water. This is important! Burning the powder will make it taste bitter. If you’re not entirely sure, too cool is much better than too hot!

3. Mix it up in a W shape, using a bamboo whisk, a kitchen whisk or even a fork. Whisk well until all lumps are gone and tea is smooth and creamy with a fine foam on top. Make sure you get all the matcha from around the cup or any that might be stuck at the bottom.

4. Once you have a liquid paste top off with 4-6 oz of 175 (ish) degree water (to taste). Stir. If you are making a matcha latte substitute the 4-6 oz of water with your milk of choice.

5.Drink Up!
